Experience a Relaxing Stay at Big Rock Log Cabin
Nestled under sandstone bluffs that nature carved out of Rocky Hollow lies Big Rock Log Cabin, tucked away in the Kentucky Mountains only minutes from Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park.
On the Property
Big Rock beckons you to slow down and enjoy the sights and sounds of nature from the large front porch or from around a campfire tucked inside a large rock shelter just 50 feet up a trail to the cliff face. Come ready to cook out on a gas grill and eat at a picnic table tucked in with massive stone blocks.
Inside Big Rock
Enter the great room and relax on leather chairs and sofas in front of the stone fireplace surrounded by wood walls and original southern folk art, much of which is by local artists. Cook dinner in a galley style fully furnished kitchen and still be part of the great room activities.
In the Area
At Big Rock, you are down in a forest hollow but only 5 minutes from enjoying all the trails at Natural Bridge State Park and just 5 minutes more to go through Nadda Tunnel into the cliffy wilderness of Red River Gorge, the home to 100s of miles of scenic forest trails leading to towing cliffs, massive natural stone arches, and canyon vistas. This area is a wonderful, undiscovered part of nature where you can enjoy the great outdoors without the hordes of people; there isn’t a stoplight for 20 miles and any direction.
